2010 - CCD CoE Conference on Cyber Conflict



The CCD CoE Conference on Cyber Conflict will be held
June 16-18, 2010 in Tallinn, Estonia. It will be preceded by a one-day training seminar on June 15. Cyber security experts and professionals from related disciplines in government, academia and the private sector are encouraged to attend in order to ensure a broad-based, interdisciplinary atmosphere to examine the growing connection between computer security and national security.
The 2010 Conference on Cyber Conflict unites two highly-regarded events that CCD COE held in 2009: the Conference on Cyber Warfare in June and the Legal and Policy Conference in September. The 2010 agenda will have three parallel tracks:Concepts & StrategyTechnical Challenges & Solutions, and Law & Policy.

Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence to hold Conference on Cyber Conflict
Tallinn February 12, 2010 – The NATO-accredited CCDCOE will bring together 300 cyber security experts on 15-18 June in Tallinn to present and discuss the latest research in the field of computer security and information warfare. Keynote: renown cryptographer and security expert Bruce Schneier.
The aim of the conference is to explore the growing relationship between computer security and national security. All papers are peer-reviewed, selected and later published based on an original and substantial contribution toward understanding this increasing threat. Research will be presented by experts from government, military and academia.
The conference is divided into three parallel tracks: Concepts & Strategy, Technical Challenges & Solutions, Law & Policy. The art nouveau Estonian Drama Theatre is the venue for the event that proceeds from the two successful conferences organised by the CCDCOE in 2009 – Conference on Cyber Warfare and the Legal Conference on International Cyber Conflict. A preliminary agenda will be available on the conference website by the end of February (www.ccdcoe.org/conference2010). Registration opens in March.
